About the event
A sustainable food scheme initiative is the disability training and empowerment project.
The food initiative will enroll 40 disabled people in the greatest culinary school in Nigeria, Red Dish Chronicles, in two locations: Lagos and Abuja. The organization will also commemorate World Disability Day on December 3rd, with empowered graduates from Red Dish Chronicles in attendance. They will serve as an inspiration and role model for other people with impairments.
This is just one step toward realizing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which promotes and advocates for the full integration of people with disabilities in society, and the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill 2009, which was signed into law by President Mohammad Buhari in 2018.
