Our Story

While drinking coffee on August 8th, 2020, Evans and Muyiwa discussed the COVID-19's negative effects on food insecurity in Africa and around the world. They pushed each other to do things research about the prevalence of hunger and poverty in Africa Earlier than the COVID-19, they found crises, approximately 7 in 10 Africans lived in poverty, and Millions of people faced the risk of living in poverty.

Acute food insecurity is becoming more prevalent in a rising number of nations, undoing years of development progress. Even earlier COVID-19 decreased earnings and hampered supply Chronic and severe hunger were on the rise in chains. due to a number of reasons, including social strife, economic circumstances, natural disasters, and climate Pests and change.

 

The impact of COVID-19 has resulted in significant and widespread increases in the world's food vulnerability of vulnerable households in practically every nation, with effects anticipated to continue through 2021, 2022, and perhaps beyond while the Delta variety keeps spreading into the future.


Evans and Muyiwa made the decision to establish a nonprofit with the primary goal of providing food for the most vulnerable population segment, empowering mothers and children in order to reduce extreme poverty, we choose to designate the Initiative for an African Development Food Scheme.

The organization received Nigerian approval.on February 16, 2021. On August 12, 2021, Food Scheme received its 501c3 tax-exempt status after being accepted, registered, and licensed in the US. The food organization is anticipating an opening in different regions of the world.

The Food Scheme is eager to expand throughout the world after receiving approval and registration on August 12, 2021, in the Louisiana State of the United States. The Food Scheme wants to offer a charitable food app where donations can help the weak and disadvantaged directly. This is a brand-new endeavor that has never been carried out before by a nonprofit. The goal of the food program is to establish a direct connection between the poor and the donors so that they can track the degree of change they are affecting in the lives of the weak.
